Roma Exterior Venetian Blinds
Nothing can make a building more beautiful and full of light than large, spectacular windows. Unfortunately, with large windows comes the potential problem of over-heating. Internal blinds offer only limited protection, as the heat can still pass through the window pane, bringing heat into the room. Only externally-mounted venetian blinds can offer truly effective heat protection.
Slat position makes the difference: positioning blinds inside the building or between window panes (see pictures, left and centre) offers much less effective protection from heat and UV rays. Only exterior blinds (picture, right) offer optimum protection.
ROMA aluminum exterior blinds are a spectacular and effective externally-mounted alternative to roller shutter systems. Not only can they completely reflect the sun’s rays, they can be rotated via an internal control system to allow in as much or as little light as desired. This allows you to create perfect natural lighting in your room – while keeping the heat outside.
The space-saving structure of the system (the motor is lodged in front of the slat stack) allows us to build compact installations, which even have room for an optional insect screen. ROMA venetian blinds are provided with a motor drive as a standard option, and can be operated with a convenient remote control unit. Sun and wind sensors automatically close the installation in strong sunlight and retract it in strong winds.
